Dr. Guy Beaudin is a senior partner at RHR International responsible for the firm's business development and marketing activities. He is a trusted advisor to CEOs, boards of directors, and senior executive teams across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. His practice includes the full scope of RHR International’s core services from the assessment and development of high-potential talent to board effectiveness and CEO succession. His clients range from rapidly growing family-owned businesses to Fortune 50 companies. He has also worked extensively in the private equity sector, assisting investor firms in assessing and developing the leadership talent they need in portfolio or acquired companies to deliver on their investment thesis. His expertise is sought in all areas of talent assessment and talent development, including CEO advisory and senior team effectiveness.
He is recognized in particular for helping boards successfully navigate the challenges of CEO succession, including coaching new CEOs throughout the various phases of their tenure. At RHR, Guy has grown the firm’s global footprint and contributed to the management of numerous large-scale international engagements. Selected accomplishments include post M&A work in aligning teams and cultures in a cross-border acquisition, building high-potential programs for clients in financial services, upgrading talent in various PE portfolio companies and assisting a pension fund in building robust and reliable succession planning.
Prior to joining RHR, Guy worked as an internal HR director for an international organization. He has also worked in senior-level marketing and finance positions in manufacturing and financial services organizations.
Guy has an MBA from the University of Ottawa and a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Montreal. Fluent in both French and English, he is a sought-after speaker on leadership and leadership development. He has authored numerous articles and publications, including a guide to CEO succession published by CPA Canada. Guy is actively engaged in his community and is a past director of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. He is also a graduate of the ICD’s Directors Education Program.
