Orla LeonardPartner, Practice Leader, Senior Team Effectiveness
Orla Leonard is a partner in the London office and serves as leader for RHR’s Senior Team Effectiveness practice. Her duties include spearheading research, coordinating efforts with clients, and supporting consultants in the field. Orla has more than 20 years of experience working with executives to identify and develop the human potential in their organisations, with a particular focus on the beverage, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical, and professional services industries. She has worked across Europe, Asia, Australia, the United States, and Canada.
Orla’s areas of expertise include executive coaching and senior team effectiveness. Her practice has increasingly focused on enabling senior teams to align around a compelling organisational agenda and adopt the leadership behaviour necessary to execute it. She works regularly with CEOs and their teams to upgrade the performance of the operating board. She is a regular contributor to the Harvard Business Review online and Chief Executive magazine.
Prior to joining RHR International, Orla worked as a principal psychologist and practice area manager for team development with the United Kingdom-based company Sigma, a consultancy division of OPP. She has conducted in-depth research and designed a psychometric instrument to identify innovation potential in individuals. She is a verified assessor with the British Psychological Society and is an accredited trainer and faculty member of the Association for Psychological Type.
Orla was awarded a bachelor’s degree (Hons) from University College Dublin, Ireland, and received a master's degree in occupational psychology from the Queen's University Belfast. She is a Chartered Psychologist with both the BPS and PSI and is an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is a registered psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
